Senior FP&A Manager (Bilingual Korean required)
Timpl has partnered with a global EV battery manufacturing company and they're looking for a Senior FP&A Manager. 

Job Description:

The company seeks a Sr. FP&A Manager who is responsible for collecting and studying the financial and operational data to analyze profitability of the business, extracting and defining relevant information. The candidate will dig into complex datasets to analyze trends and translate them into actionable insights for continuous process/profitability improvements. This role also will be able to communicate with cross-functional teams and individuals within the company.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead thoughtful, timely month-end reporting and financial analysis
  • Develop the yearly budget, pro forma financial statements and communicate action plan with the cross functional teams
  • Manage the Monthly Rolling Forecast; communicate with each function and develop tactics to attain the budget
  • Help revamp budget/forecast models to streamline processes for greater efficiency
  • Perform cost variance analyses in key indicators (forecast vs. actual). Be able to clearly tell the story of what and why it happened
  • Oversee capital expenditure (Capex) and operating expense
  • Work with the Production, Sales, Supply Chain teams to monitor inventory, sales and in-transit for working capital management
  • Manage and analyze labor costs
  • Work with the Logistics team to manage monthly logistics costs per material and channel
  • Target battery cell price development; establish target cell price and facilitate the concurrence discussion among the stakeholders
  • Assist functional teams with budget questions and provide guideline on PR/PO process (GL, cost center, approval line)
  • Actively participate in problem solving initiatives and implement process recommendations to the leadership
  • Handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
  • Supervise a team of 2 direct reports

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of Financial Planning & Analysis or relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
  • Break-work-in-silo mentality
  • Time, Quantity, Quality trade-off management
  • Communication and presentation skills

Preferred:

  • Knowledge in the automotive or/and battery industry and manufacturing
  • SAP experience
  • Corporate finance
  • Bilingual in English and Korean
