Quality Engineer (Bilingual Korean required)
Timpl has partnered with a global EV battery manufacturing company and is seeking for a Quality Engineer.

Role and Responsibilities:

Production Issue Monitoring

  •  Check field issue improvement progress
  • Monitor non-conforming product and production problems
  • Review the results of CCT (Continuous Compliance Test) -assessment of regular performance, reliability, and safety in mass production

 

Customer Audit

  • Review customer requirement and audit document
  • Conduct self-audit of production line in advance of customer audit
  • Create, plan and perform prototype inspections
  • Provide required support to customer during the audit

 

Failure Investigation/Analysis and corrective Actions

  • Investigate customer complaints for product quality issues
  • Lead projects involving failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • Act as a liaison between Quality, Process, Production, and the customer to facilitate effective problem solving and corrective action activities
  • Utilize statistical tools to analyze complaints and derive corrective actions
  • Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are implemented

 

Customer PPAP/ISIR Lead

  • Prepare and submit customer required report and documents to communicate with customers regarding each step of product part approval process
  • Provide support including on-site inspections or interviews/presentations as needed to facilitate customer understanding of SKI's capability to meet the customer requirements      

 

Early Warning Monitoring and Change Management

  • Review results of internal outgoing inspection and customer inspection
  • Review results of production meetings and initial production problems
  • Review altered product verification result; communicate with customers in regard of 4M change

 

Customer Relation Management

  • Continually acquire knowledge of customer requirements
  • Traveling to OEM facilities as needed to collect customer voices and provide needed support

 

Quality Cost Management

  • Monitor monthly market percent defective and quality cost
  • Review cost sharing ratio by issue, calculate cost, and make decisions
  • Analyze. set up. and manage the history of an allowance (reserve)  for the quality issue every issue half year
  • Other Tasks Assigned

 

Skill and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistry, material, industrial, electrical, or electronic engineering or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Preferred experience with PFMA (product failure mode analysis, root cause analysis, electrical analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
