Production Maintenance Engineer (Bilingual Korean required)
Timpl has partnered with a global EV battery manufacturing company and is seeking for a Production Maintenance Engineer.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Optimization of current production processes.
- Coaching plants in continuous improvement, standardization, and lean concepts.
- Assisting plant in addressing equipment down time issues.
- Developing preventative . predictive industrial maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime in high volume manufacturing .
- Oversee PM programs for Battery Manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in Equipment spare part management.
- Providing input on new equipment design and purchase.
- Supporting new model / equipment launch as required.
Skill and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial or Electrical / Automation engineering (preferred), Equivalent experience accepted
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing; stamping experience (preferred).
- Ability to optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause
- Excellent communicator who can train both hourly and salary team members.
- Must be a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and see them through to completion with limited supervision.
- Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills.
Nice to have but not a must:
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Robot / Interpress transfer (ABB / Fanuc / Gudel)
- Stamping / Press Equipment
- Experience in handling Heavy equipment, spare parts or materials
- Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Vision experience (Cognex) (Strongly preferred)
- PLC Competency
- Lean Implementation
- AutoCAD
