Mechanical Engineer (Bilingual Korean required)

Timpl had partnered up with a global EV battery manufacturing company and is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. 
The Mechanical Engineer is an experienced individual who will support the facilities engineering team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. 


Responsibilities:
•    Apply Mechanical and Facilities engineering expertise for business planning operations. 
•    Support Facility Operations with Mechanical equipment design and specification.
•    Apply analytical and trouble shooting skills to minimize mean time to recovery. 
•    Support operation of mechanical systems, including but not limited to centrifugal fans, burners, cooling/heating coils, pumps, centrifugal air compressors, centrifugal chillers, heat exchangers.
•    Communicate critical updates to site management and system operators. 
•    Support training of Facilities Associates on enhancements to operations related to operating and mechanical systems.
•    Work with departments outside of facilities on planned and unplanned projects requiring mechanical equipment modifications.
•    Assure that site & building mechanical systems meet capacity and reliability requirements of the customer.
•    Create roles and responsibility documents for quick reference and management of change.
•    Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL).
•    Lead and/or support in the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for the design and construction phase of a project.
•    Review, verify and approve engineering/design drawings at the various design completion levels.
•    Providing schedules, reports, & presentations to department and company leadership.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology required or Equivalent related Mechanical Engineering experience.



Experience:
•    3-7+ years of experience developing, coordinating, and managing mechanical and/or facility related projects.
•    Exposure in mechanical equipment setting, preferably in battery production facility and Manufacturing experience.
•    Experienced with the handling of HVAC, Chiller, Air compressor, Steam/Hot Oil Boiler, SRP, Dust Collector, A/C Tower etc.



Skills:
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Proficient Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD capabilities.
•    Korean language proficiency a plus.
