Major Functions:
- Oversee and manage inventory levels of semi-finished and completed parts.
- Analyze downtime in assembly and press teams, and implement improvement plans.
- Optimize production processes and workflows to enhance productivity and quality.
- Manage departmental attendance and address any related issues.
- Develop and implement annual production plans.
- Prepare for and manage audit processes.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and assess plans to improve the floor working environment.
- Implement and evaluate 3C and 5S plans in the production area.
- Analyze downtime and establish countermeasures.
- Adjust production processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of assembly/press work status and improvement plans.
- Review production team attendance and assess the need for additional hires; coordinate with HR for recruitment.
- Manage and control overtime requests from assembly/press lines.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address productivity and quality issues.
- Create and adjust productivity improvement plans, participating in their execution.
- Plan and oversee new model trials, manage employee turnover, and follow up on results, adjusting plans as needed.
- Review and analyze the previous year’s production plan and achievement report, and establish the next year’s plan based on customer input and sales department information.
Additional Responsibilities:
- In case of emergencies or contingencies, manage and supervise all production department employees.
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering.
- Five to six years of production management experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of robot/press operation and processes is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead effectively under pressure.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
