Network Engineer

Timpl has partnered with a multinational Energy Solutions company to recruit a Network Engineer who can lead the end-to-end installation, configuration, and management of diverse network equipment, ensuring optimal performance and connectivity across the enterprise. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end installation, configuration, and management of diverse network equipment, ensuring optimal performance and connectivity across the enterprise
• Continually assess the network infrastructure, implement optimization strategies, and ensure the network scales efficiently with the organization's growth
• Security & Compliance : Deploy advanced network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard organizational data and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Provide prompt resolution to network-related issues, ensuring minimum downtime and supporting users with connectivity and access issues
• Continuously monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and traffic patterns, implementing adjustments and enhancements as necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience combined with education
• 3+ years hands-on experience in network equipment installation, configuration, and management
• 3+ years managing routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba
• 3+ years' experience in network protocols (e.g. IP, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
• Familiarity with network security practices, including VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
